How to Live Fearlessly and Know Your Personal Truth

1398196775302_-live-fearlesslyWhen was the last time you took a leap of fate? Or have you always chosen to retreat to a corner, whenever an opportunity with high stakes would come around? Living fearlessly is a huge—or I dare say, life-changing—step towards personal growth. It comes with the realization that you live only once, so you better make the most of it.

1.      If today were your last day, what would you do differently?

Knowing that tomorrow will never come, would you have gone with your day differently? Would you have been more careful with your words? This question is not supposed to be depressing, but liberating. This will free you from the drudgery of your everyday life, and help you live more freely. So—what would you do if today was your last day?

2.      Do you recognize your negative thoughts?

There are several setbacks, too many problems that are preventing you from reaching your goals. Instead of repressing them, and pretending that they don’t exist, the only way you can liberate yourself from them is by recognizing they exist, and—this might not make sense immediately to you—practice hugging them. That’s right. The way to get over these thoughts is by completely enveloping yourself by them.

3.      Do you question the truth?

Now that you’re starting at your negative thoughts straight at your face, it’s time to question its veracity. The truth is that once you settle down and ask yourself, based on what you truly feel deep inside, if these negative thoughts are real, you’ll most likely arrive at the conclusion that these thoughts are nothing but rubbish.

4.      How do you condition your mind?

To combat these negative thoughts, one way that works is by believing the opposite of these thoughts. So when you start thinking that you’re not good enough, condition yourself to think the exact opposite: “You’re amazing at this, and you most certainly can do it!”

5.      What’s your action?

Now that you’ve mentally conditioned yourself, the next step is to move forward. Look for a mentor, someone who genuinely cares for you and will help lead you to your success. He can be a person, a book, or a training program—as long as you have faith that this mentor is actively cooperating with you towards success.
